Hood Patterson & Dewar (HP&D), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Patterson & Dewar Engineers, Inc., is pleased to announce its new office in the Phoenix area, located at 1525 North Hayden Road, Suite 100, Scottsdale, Arizona. This office gives HP&D a local presence and allows us to provide better service to our clients in the western region.
The Phoenix office opened in July, with several tenured staff offering a wealth of knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical testing and commissioning services in data centers and critical facilities. Our Phoenix team includes:
Scott Hovet
Scott Hovet is the Regional Manager for the Phoenix location. Scott has 10 years of experience managing mission-critical facilities with a background in data center operations and construction coupled with 2 years of experience actively commissioning data centers while working for HP&D. His expertise includes switchgear operations, critical HVAC systems, and security systems. Scott earned his degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
Greg Achilles
Greg Achilles is an Electrical Commissioning Agent who manages teams in data centers and other mission-critical facilities. He has more than 20 years of experience as an MEP construction professional. Greg is leveraging his MEP field experience and industry contacts to expand and further develop our commissioning readiness and QA/QC services. Greg graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County with a degree in Electrical Construction Technology.
Grayson Mills
Grayson Mills is a Project Manager with extensive experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting LV and MV electrical systems. In addition, he is a certified infrared thermographer and a NETA certified technician. Grayson joined HP&D five years ago after earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from Kennesaw State University.
Jake Scanlon, EIT, LEED Green Associate
Jake Scanlon is a Mechanical Commissioning Agent with experience in the start-up and troubleshooting of critical data center HVAC systems, such as air handling systems, chillers, cooling towers, and controls systems. An HP&D employee for seven years, Jake graduated from Clemson University with a Mechanical Engineering degree.
