As a key member of the P&D executive team, the Chief Financial Officer reports to the President/CEO and plays a strategic role in the overall management of this $40M engineering and construction management company. The CFO is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company, including oversight of assets and property. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide leadership in strategic business planning, with implementation and evaluation of new programs, financial and tax strategies
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization, including treasury, cash flow, audits, purchases, real estate, benefits programs, and provide timely reporting to the board of directors, the shareholders, and managers
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place to comply with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations for financial and tax reporting
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with executive management team to identify needs and seek a full range of business solutions
  • Provide recommendations to improve financial performance, business opportunities, and risk management
  • Develop and maintain good business relationships in banking, finance, insurance, and other areas of business
  • Manage stock transactions and recordkeeping in accordance with the corporate by-laws
  • Determine appropriate facilitation of legal matters
  • Manage administration of 401k/profit sharing plan

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft® Excel® and other Office® applications is required; working knowledge of Deltek Vision® preferred
  • 10 years accounting and finance experience
  • 5+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in engineering consulting, or within the A/E/C industry
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
